The Lord's Words in Paul's Letter to the Romans

In his teaching on morality the Apostle Paul many times refers to the words of Jesus, but instead of quoting them directly he simply renders their meaning. In the Letter to the Romans Paul deals with the ethics of Christian life and in this context Jesus' words are also mentioned. Lohse deals with the words of the Lord, which undermine the necessity of revenge (12:17 and 12:14).References
