Abstract

Gli Att i degli Apostoli ci narrano la storia delle prime comunità cristiane. Nel sommario che si legge in At 42–47 l’autore en umera quattro caratteristic he fondamen tali e costitutive della comuni tà delle origini : assiduità ne ll’ascoltare l’in segnamen to degli apostoli, ne ll’uni one fraterna, ne lla frazi one del pane
e nelle preghiere. Per la prima volt a troviamo qui la formula fra zione del pane , che ritorna poi in At 20,7a.11 e At 27,35. Nell’artic olo abbiamo in dagato sul signi fic ato di quest’espressione . Alle soglie del cristiane simo quel gesto di spezzare il pane, caratte ristico per il mondo semitico, non era solo eq uivale nte a un pasto normale, preso in comune, ma designava una realt à nuova, grazie al riferimen to diretto al gesto di Gesù, compiuto durante l’Ultima Cen a. Con moltà probabilità, Luca aveva in tenzi one di parlarci del pasto del Signore e così nell a sua opera la formula acquista un significato particolare, quasi te cnico, per
designare una memoria viva di passione (i l pane spezz ato) e di risurrezi one di Gesù Cristo (ne l primo giorno della settimana), ce lebrata nei suoi tempi. Il gesto dell a frazione del pane diventa un gesto di riconoscimento miste rico, come apparve eviden te ne lla cen a di Emmaus, racc ontata in Lc 24,31-35. Anc he oggi questo ste sso gesto ha un significato molt o profondo – come ci ricorda Benedett o XVI ne lla sua esortazi one Sacra mentu m car itat is – „le nostre comuni tà, quando ce lebrano l’Eucarestia, devono pren dere sempre più coscienz a che il sacrifici o di Cristo è per tutti e pertanto l’Eucarestia spin ge ogni creden te in Lui a farsi «pane spezz ato» per gli altri, e dunque ad impegnarsi per un mondo più giusto e fraterno [...]. Davvero la vocazi one di ci ascuno di noi è quella di essere, in sie me a Ge sù, pane spezzato per la vita del mon do” (88).
