The sequence Is 30:19-26, central to the section of chapters 28‒33, is presented as an editorial text which focuses on the theme of generous salvation from God towards his people at the center of the section. This salvation, which has free connotations and is presented with images of consolation and healing (parts 30:19 and 30:26), becomes concrete as a revelation of a sapiential nature that will allow the people to see and hear in view of a purification from the idolatry (part 30,20-22). To this purification corresponds (part 30,23-25) the blessing and the fertility that comes from God and the total liberation from the enemies and their pride. More than an apocalyptic text, the sequence 30:19-26 is therefore a hymn of celebration of the total and definitive revelation of God to his people, despite the faults and betrayals of which the people was stained. This central sequence has the role of a "bridge" between the first three sequences of section Is 28–33, marked by the theme of "judgment" and the last three sequences of the section marked by the theme of salvation operated by God. In particular it raises the enigma (through a sapiential vocabulary in which the noun môrēh "master" plays a decisive role) on "how" will be this salvation, allowing its totally free character to be glimpsed.
