Abstract

The monograph under review by K. Olszewska represents a reliable study of imperatives that serve as tools for Christian formation. The text helps to better understand the message of the Book of Revelation and its relevance as a Book of the Church and for the Church. It also confirms the remarkable value of the biblical text, which not only conveys information but also possesses the formative power of Jesus’ disciples. The study presents specific existential situations with all the complex consequences of the events experienced by the community, where formation is essential for the Church to remain faithful to Christ and the professed faith. It also emphasizes the demand for an ongoing process of Christian self-formation, preparing the faithful for the ultimate meeting of the Bride (the Church) with the Bridegroom (the Lamb).
