This article presents the oldest account of a pilgrimage from Poland to the Holy Land by Jan Amor Tarnowski. The author analyses the itinerary of the pilgrimage, the circumstances accompanying the creation of the manuscript, and how the Holy Land was presented.
The author also addresses how the manuscript sits alongside other texts referring to the Orient created in the period under discussion.
