Abstract

The trade union in the health service of the Polish People‘s Republic played the role of a kind of “transmission belt” of the Party. At the same time, it also carried out classic union tasks aimed at improving the working and living conditions of employees. In the environment of the nursing section, an ambiance of protest developed, which was dissipated in the strike of Warsaw nurses in 1963. Translated by Agnieszka Chabros
