It is estimated that over the last year, on-line teaching or various variants of hybrid teaching covered 98.5% of the world’s student population. The situation related to the imposition of restrictions on such a scale, including the closure of schools and the transition to on-line learning, is taking place for the first time in history. The consequence of this is a noticeable commotion in the research environment. Reports are made on children, parents and teachers from all continents. In this article, we have collected and presented information on reports from Polish and foreign studies focusing on the well-being of children during the lockdown. We described reports from research related to the physical, mental, social and cognitive development of students. The presented data, which we compared with the results of Polish research, give us a picture of the current situation of children.
