The aim of the article is to recall the important form of pedagogical life of the interwar period and the first three decades after the World War II. It was Mieczysław Ziemnowicz, a Germanist, secondary school teacher, academic teacher. The text draws attention to those threads of M. Ziemnowicz’s biography which relate to the scientific path and teaching activities. The article discusses the main fields of scientific interests of M. Ziemnowicz. It highlights the subjects he raised, treating them as important problems and pedagogical categories. The article was prepared on the basis of archival, printed sources, magazines and studies.
