Magazines for children and youth expand the knowledge of young readers, influencing their personality, but also provide entertainment. Moreover, Polish magazines aimed at the youngest audience were often related to the school, which was expressed in the selection of thematic content, correlated with the curriculum in individual classes. Sometimes these magazines also extended far beyond the school curriculum with their content. In many environments, they gathered numerous groups of young people, creating literary and self-education groups, facilitating the process of independent thinking and creative activity, and arousing cultural and intellectual activity. The press also influenced the shaping of civic attitudes, and even political and ideological ones.
The aim of this research report is to identify the most important works concerning the issue stated in the title, important texts on selected periodicals or publishing projects that have played a significant role in shaping the young audience. In addition, attention was also paid to possible research fields in connection with the issue stated in the title.
