The following article is an attempt to present the use of the market basket analysis in the study of associations in the example of transaction data from the food wholesaler. Three analysis methods were presented: the GRI method, the a priori method and the CARMA method. The application of these rules and the results analysis will allow to obtain information necessary for marketing analysis and will give rise to the application of effective marketing strategies.
