Peer Review Process
1. The works submitted to the AKZ are reviewed by scholars who are the most competent in a given field.
2. The submitted articles and reference works are verified with the use of an anti-plagiarism software, formally evaluated by one of the editorial team members and then reviewed by two reliable and independent reviewers who are not members of the editorial team or the Scientific Council of the journal.
3. The review process is conducted on an anonymous basis. The editorial team makes sure that there are no conflicts of interest between reviewers and authors.
4. In case of any disputes, additional reviewers are appointed.
5. Each review is prepared in an electronic form with the use of software made available by the APCz platform and must concluded with an unequivocal opinion as to whether the article is accepted for publication or not. The review form is available HERE.
6. The authors are informed about the results of the evaluation of the submitted papers, comments made by the reviewers, and have the possibility to make corrections.
7. Contracts for the preparation of reviews guarantee reliability and timeliness, and reviews that do not comply with the contracts are not accepted.
8. The list of reviewers co-operating with the AKZ is available on the journal’s website. Every issued paperback volume lists the names of the reviewers that evaluate the papers published in it.
The procedure of reviewing articles and editing source materials submitted to the AKZ complies with the guidelines of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as set out in the brochure Dobre praktyki w procedurach recenzyjnych w nauce, Warsaw 2011 (Good practice in review procedures in science).
