MICHAŁ SOKOLNICKI—CONTRIBUTOR TO LONDON’S WIADOMOŚCI BY EDITOR GRYDZEWSKI 1946–1963
Michał Sokolnicki (1880–1967), a well known independence activist, supporter of Józef Piłsudski, politician and diplomat was also a penman—a historian, publicist and commentator and a passionate epistolographer. He remained that way after World War II, which caused him, as the former Polish ambassador in Ankara to remain in Turkey. While staying there he began contributing to many periodicals published in exile, including Mieczysław Grydzewski’s Wiadomości in London. The contribution, paying special attention to Sokolnicki’s work, his thoughts and reflections and his relationship with the editor are the subject of this article.Downloads
