Abstract

The article discusses the discourse around a serial novel published in Dziennik Polski i Dziennik Żołnierza in the years 1949–1965. The author presents the story of a neglected segment of exile literature in the eyes of everyday readers. The author analyzes and determines their favorite writers, and tries to decide what determined the popularity of particular names. The work of Napoleon Sądek is a special case, for his novels in the given period arouse the strongest emotions.
