It is an essay that takes up a confrontation between old age stereotypes and the works of the author of Facing the river. Some issues may seem obvious, however an order of the lecture is not questionable. In the indicated aspect, the talk is about a history—individual relation, about inexpressibility of existential experiences, about emphasis of old age on the level of initiation and about its attitude towards the childhood period. The volumes of This and Second space constitute the material for considerations.
