The aim of thisstudy was to prezent the rights and freedoms of peasants in the articles of the Constitution of May 3. It presentsserfdom and the legal status of the loweststatebefore the adoptionof the GovernmentAct. The articlealsodescribeswhether the attempt to introducechangeshadanimpact on socialchanges in Poland and whethertheyweresupported by the socjety. Moreover, it was consideredwhether the Constitution of May 3 hadanimpact on the development of social and nationalideasamong the peasants.
