Library, Book, Information and Internet 2014

Abstract

On 16^th–17^th October 2014 next edition of The International Scientific Conference ”Library, Book, Information and Internet 2014” was held in Lublin. The conference was organized by Instytut of Librarianship and Information Science at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. The aim of the conference was to discuss changes in library and information science. Twenty- speakers presented papers on various subjects. Main issues were: information and knowledge management, ICT and its role in society, legal and ethical issues in library practice, new roles of librarians, library specialists training, quantitive methods in information science (webometrics, infometrics, bibliometrics), infobroking, digitizing, science 2.0, digital libraries, repositories and electronic publishing. This report summarized the meeting briefly outlines papers presented at the conference.
