INFANCY AS A DEBATE QUESTION AT THE COUNCILS OF THE UNDIVIDED CHURCH

Nowadays, there is an increased interest in issues related to the child, its rights and protection. Among many publications, there are also some that deal with these issues from the perspective of the early Christianity. The aim of the article is to answer the question to what extent and what issues concerning children or childhoodwere taken up during the discussions at the conciliar assemblies in the first millennium and what was the purpose of referring to the category of child in these theological disputes.
