"Narcyz" Szymanowskiego – reinterpretacja mitu w muzycznej narracji

Artykuł stanowi analizę Narcyza Karola Szymanowskiego przy pomocy narzędzi zaczerpniętych z teorii mitu oraz teorii narracji. Do analizy tej wykorzystano przede wszystkim koncepcje Claude’a Léviego-Straussa, Rolanda Barthes’a, Eero Tarastiego, Tzvetana Todorova oraz Williama Labova. Analiza ma odpowiedzieć na pytanie, jaki wariant mitu prezentuje w swoim utworze Szymanowski i w jakim zakresie wariant ten stanowi dopełnienie klasycznego ujęcia opowieści o Narcyzie. Przebieg analizy obejmuje wyodrębnienie materiału tematycznego, zestawienie go ze schematem narracji Labova oraz porównanie uzyskanego schematu z tradycyjną formą sonatową. Dodatkowymi czynnikami poddanymi analizie są metrum i tempo. W konkluzji wskazano na możliwości nowej interpretacji mitu w jego muzycznej wersji zaproponowanej przez Szymanowskiego.
