Military expenditure of Poland and the Baltic countries in the 21st century

Abstract

 Poland and the Baltic states used to be parts of the communist system and now are members of NATO. Their geographical location, especially the fact that they all have a large neighbour, which has been constantly rebuilding its power and tends to become again a global empire – Russia,poses similar challenges in front of them. That is why it is worth analyzing their military expenditure policies in terms of their national security.To have a broader image of military expenditure trends it is also worth  presenting military spending of these countries in the European and US context.
