W artykule przedstawione zostały najbardziej nagłośnione przypadki wydaleń dziennikarzy zagranicznych ze stolic europejskich w okresie dwudziestolecia międzywojennego. Temat opracowany jest przede wszystkim w oparciu o informacje prasowe, jednak zweryfikowane co do tożsamości korespondentów i z uwzględnieniem kontekstu wydarzeń. Przedstawiono też niektóre komentarze prasy polskiej.
