Struktury, metody pracy i zadania 600-letniego Archiwum Uniwersyteckiego w Lipsku
Współczesne dobrze funkcjonujące archiwa zajmują się nie tylko przeszłością i teraźniejszością, lecz także przyszłością. Do obszarów ich działań należą próby historyczno-fi lozofi cznej oceny przeszłości uniwersytetu, poszukiwania partnerów do współpracy naukowej oraz tematów wartych naukowego opracowania, jak również zimne kalkulacje fi nansowe. Tak aktywny sposób podejścia do historii jest bowiem ważny nie tylko dla samych uniwersytetów, lecz i dla ich archiwów. Lipskie Archiwum Uniwersyteckie należy do największych i najstarszych archiwów uczelnianych w Europie. Uniwersytet ten został założony w specyfi cznych warunkach politycznych panujących wówczas w Europie, na które złożyły się schizma zachodnia, cesarska polityka władzy i interesy narodowe. Magistrowie i studenci, którzy uciekli z Pragi, w 1409 roku w Lipsku powołali do życia nowy uniwersytet. Międzynarodowe oddziaływanie tej uczelni obrazują księgi immatrykulacyjne, w których znajdujmy nazwiska osób z różnych części Europy, między innymi z terenów polskich. Nacja polska, do której należeli Ślązacy, Polacy i Prusacy, przez długi czas była najliczniejszą korporacją uniwersytecką. Polscy fundatorzy aż do XX wieku współkształtowali też struktury lipskiej uczelni. W artykule omówiono strukturę Archiwum Uniwersyteckiego w Lipsku, przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania jego zasobu w pracy naukowej oraz planowane w ramach umów partnerskich projekty. Intensywnie eksplorowane archiwum dokłada wszelkich starań, aby udostępniając bogate zbiory – zwłaszcza starodruków – zwrócić uwagę badaczy na dzieje swego macierzystego uniwersytetu.
