Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This text has not been previously published and/or submitted in another publishing house.
  • The file is saved in Microsoft Word (.docx) or RTF format.
  • The text of the publication is in Times New Roman (12-point font size), spacing 1,5 (for long block quotations: Times New Roman 11 and spacing 1,0).
  • Possible sources of the work funding are listed in the publication in a place required by editorial rules. In the submitted work there appear no ghostwriting, guest-authorship and/or conflict of interest. The author is acquainted with the current procedures of texts’ reviewing in the journal.
  • The author agrees to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement with Nicolaus Copernicus University. The content of the agreement is available HERE. With regard to the joint publication, the author submitting an article for publication fills in a statement concerning the percentage contribution, in which the contributions of particular co-authors in the submitted text are given. The content of the work is known to all its authors who give permission for it to be published. The completed statement must be uploaded as an additional file along with the article.
  • The author agrees to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement with Nicolaus Copernicus University. The content of the agreement is available HERE. The Bulletin of the Polish Historical Mission accepts articles and texts not yet published (this also applies to publications on the Internet), which are not offered simultaneously to print in other publications. Their authors bear full responsibility for the content of the article (ie for all the parts comprising it: text, illustrations, footnotes, bibliography, etc.). Articles are published in German or English, with short summaries in Polish, English and German, and a bibliography. Authors do not receive a fee for texts published in the Bulletin.

Copyright Notice

The author submitting the text for publication is obliged to disclose all authors involved in the preparation of the text and (if applicable) an indication of the sources of financing of the publication, the contribution of scientific research institutions, associations and other entities ("financial disclosure").

In the case of texts prepared by two or more Authors, the Authors are obliged to send to the Editorial Staff a statement about the contribution of individual Authors to the publication (including their affiliation and an indication of the Author / Authors of the concepts, assumptions, methods, etc.). The main responsibility for the text lies with the author submitting it to the Editorial Board.

Please be advised that the editors of the Bulletin of the Polish Historical Mission are using the iThenticate anti-plagiarism program, since 2016 each article has been checked for authenticity. The editors declare that detected cases of scientific misconduct will be documented and made public by notifying relevant entities (institutions employing Authors, scientific institutions and associations, etc.).
