Focus and Scope
Biuletyn Polskiej Misji Historycznej = Bulletin der Polnischen Historischen Mission (Bulletin of the Polish Historical Mission) is a journal devoted to the history of Poland and Germany, which presents various historical issues from the perspective of both countries, with particular emphasis on the relationship between them. The editors strive to make each volume a certain whole, and the articles contained therein discussed the topic selected for a given volume in relation to Polish, German or both countries at the same time, and thus complemented it. There are also articles on other countries that allow comparison with the situation in Poland and Germany by introducing a further perspective. In principle, each article is an independent work, which at the same time makes up a larger whole. The task of the Bulletin is also to popularize the achievements of Polish scientists abroad and foreign authors in Poland. Therefore, for publication in this year, also general articles are adopted, introducing, summarizing previous studies, especially if they fit thematically to the entire volume.
The journal documents the activity of the Polish Historical Mission operating in the years 2001-2009 at the Max Planck Institute for History in Göttingen, and since September 2009 based at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. Since 2011 Bulletin of the Polish Historical Mission has been published yearly.
Bulletin of the Polish Historical Mission is included in the list of journals receiving the score points of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (the standardized list of journals for the years 2013-2016, of 31 July 2019). Authors publishing in this journal receive 20 score points.
