Characteristic of the filigree of the Warsaw part of the Archives of Philomats

The article is a summary of the query conducted for the Philomaths Archive project – digital edition. The author briefly describes the essence and significance of the Philomath collection, pointing to the difficult and dramatic history of smuggling it to Poland after World War II. In the main part of the article, she describes the watermarks found and preserved in an identifiable state, indicates their origin, analyzes their appearance and history, comparing the results of her research with the results of works by recognized filigree researchers. Moreover, she distinguishes the papers on which the works and philomac correspondence were written, pointing to their provenance and characteristic features, trying to identify the paper mills that released them.
