The article deals with issues of diversity of corporate governance systems in various countries and changes taking place in these systems. Examples of classifications of corporate governance systems are mentioned, and the main areas in which differences between these systems occur are presented. An analysis of factors influencing the direction and extent of changes in corporate governance systems has made it possible to outline a broader background for discussion on the possibility of convergence of corporate governance systems on a global scale.
