The aim of the paper, entitled ‘The Church’s presence in the world through the ministry of Caritas’, was to show the charitable assistance carried in the community of believers to a specific person in need of help and support. The work is divided into six main parts. The first shows what Caritas ministry is in the world today and how it is carried out. The second part describes the missionary character and mission of the Church community in the contemporary world in relation to the ministry of charity. The third shows the invaluable role of the volunteer in helping others. The fourth part shows the biblical basis of the ministry of Caritas. The fifth part focuses on showing the vocation of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta as an example of a life filled with compassion towards every suffering human being. The sixth part shows the work of the Caritas organisation in the Pelplin diocese. The article presents the indispensable presence of the Church in caring for the suffering human being.References
