About the Journal
About the Journal
"Studia Pelplińskie" is published by the Major Seminary in Pelplin in collaboration with the "Bernardinum" Academic Publishing House. The first issue of this annual journal appeared in 1969, initiated by Bishop Kazimierz Józef Kowalski. The journal’s founding aim was to revive the scholarly excellence that had characterized the Chełmno academic community during the interwar period.
The mission of "Studia Pelplińskie" is to integrate the diocese’s academic community and to promote the research achievements of scholars from the Pomerania region on both national and international stages. Articles published in successive volumes present findings in the humanities, with a particular focus on theology, philosophy, and history.
"Studia Pelplińskie" is a peer-reviewed journal. Articles are published in Polish or English.
The print editions of the journal are archived at the National Library. The electronic version of the journal is archived at https://apcz.umk.pl/SPLP/issue/archive (2018–2025) and https://studiapelplinskie.pl/index.php/pl/archiwum-rocznika (2015–2025).
