In 2014-2015 the legal framework of environmental impact assessment changed significantly both in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. This article presents main views of the Czech and Slovak authors in the light of the recent developments in the legislation and - more broadly - in the light of the Czech and Slovak legal framework on environmental assessment. Further, the article compares the Czech and Slovak situation with the relevant legislation and literature in Poland.
