Abstract

The article yields the study of the attitude of mercy in the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. This attitude is based on the example of Jesus, especially on his life and teaching. Not only confessor but also penitent must be guided by the attitude of mercy.

Doscalced Carmelite; PhD on the University of Kardinal Stefan Wyszyński (ATK) in Warszawa (1998); lecturer in Carmelite Institut of Spirituality and in Hight Seminary of Discalced Carmelites in Kraków; His research interests include theology of morality and ethic, christian spirituality; author of more then twenty articles and of the book: Ze św. Rafałem na ścieżkach wiary, nadziei i miłości, Kraków 2007.
