The author introduced the figure of Maria Kostrzewska, one of the many conspirators of the Home Army and the anti-communist resistance movement, who still do not have their graves. Kostrzewska was born in 1901 in Kraków; she graduated from the Academy of Commerce in Kraków. During the war, she was associated with the Home Army Group Żelbet in Kraków. After the end of the military actions, she and her son continued their resistance activities as part of the Freedom and Independence Association. She was a member of the Intelligence Brigade and a coder in the Southern Area of the WiN Association. Having been arrested and sentenced by the Military District Court in Warsaw, she was imprisoned in Fordon, where she fell seriously ill. She died on March 25, 1951. Her son, Andrzej, has not yet managed to find his mother’s grave.
