The text addresses the conviction that a more detailed examination of the emotional states of the soldiers of the Polish underground movement during the Second World War is necessary. This is related to the high level of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( PTSD) among Polish witnesses and participants of the Second World War, and to the results of similar studies in other countries indicating a low level of PTSD in members of the underground movements. As a method to be used in the study of emotional states, the author proposes detailed biographies of selected characters which would focus on emotions
