Abstract

The article concerns the eighteen-year-old sculptor Wiktor Jan Brzeziński from Żyrardów in Mazowieckie voivodeship. Wiktor has been a sculptor since he was 11 years old and has a raw talent. His sculptures depict what he can observe in the street – residents of block of flats, people standing by the shops, subculture of tracksuit wearers, sportsmen as well as pensioners, old women and regional groups such as Highlanders, Kashubians or people of Łowicz. Most of his sculptures were made to be further “brought to life” in animations which are made in his amateur film studio – his own bedroom. The project @ekipa_z_pod_nocnego is being prepared now and it can be seen on YT and TikTok. The discovery of Wiktor’s art show a new dimension of amateur art.
