Author Biography

Dr Bartłomiej Kapica, The Witold Pilecki Institute of Solidarity and Valor

Doctor of Humanities in History (Faculty of History, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, 2015), Assistant Professor at the Center for Totalitarian Studies at the Pilecki Institute. Holder of a scholarship from the Sapienza University of Rome (2013), received distinction in the “Debiut Historyczny Roku 2010” [2010 Historical Debut] competition. In 2016–2018, Assistant Professor at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw (under the NCN FUGA grant). Research interests include
biographical studies, history of the communist movement in Poland, Polish political history, intellectual history.
