About the Journal

Objectives and Scope

Journal of Positive Management is the forum integrating academics, researchers and practitioners around problems of modern management. Particularly, we would like to encourage and inspire contributors to adopt positive perspective in their analysis and discussions. Positive management, also called positive organizational scholarship, is an emerging approach focusing on strengths and positive phenomenon in the organization as a source of its development and success. This new paradigm should be regarded as a complement and supplement to the perspective of  overcoming troubles and negatives dominating so far in management studies. By positive management we mean all activities that improve the broader financial and non-financial performance of the organization (including the satisfaction of all key stakeholders: owners, customers, employees, suppliers, etc.), so we focus on: soft issues (positive leadership, positive organizational behavior, CSR, etc.) and hard issues (improving door-to-door and end-to-end processes, so improving individual organizations and entire supply chains) of management.

Taking the perspective stated above contributors should cover theoretical development and practical application of both the “hard” and “soft” aspects of management, including but not limited to:

  1. positive organizational scholarship,
  2. organizational behavior,
  3. leadership and power in an organization,
  4. strategic management,
  5. corporate social responsibility,
  6. human resources management,
  7. quality management and organizational excellence
  8. business/organizational improvement,
  9. performance management,
  10. knowledge management,
  11. logistics and supply chain management.

We encourage contributors to submit articles that, while discussing issues selected from the above, relate directly to the paradigm of positive organizational scholarship and formulate conclusions that advance this paradigm.

Research, case studies and examples can be cited from the public and private sectors of industry and commerce, including manufacturing, health, education, local government and other service firms.

Journal of Positive Management only prints articles which have not been published elsewhere in English. The Editor may consider an article which has previously been published in another language. In such cases, the author must make this clear. Valuable conference papers will also be considered.

According to the Ministry grading scale the Journal of Positive Management has got a score of 40 points.

The Journal is published once a year with aspiration to become a quarterly. It is published in a paper version as well as an on-line version. The paper version is a reference (original) one.
