The essay focuses on the childrens' psychosocial development - the problems they have with defining their personalities and their family relations both in context of the single social cell and the international network of interpersonal connections. The paper refers to a statement made by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and shows the judicial and medical situation in selected countries. In conclusion, the essay poses questions that remain unanswered and presents the position of the author.
