Self-creation in the virtual world as a step towards liberation

The article analyses how modern technologies support the emancipation of minority groups through self-creation and expression. It begins with a discussion of oppression in social discourse, highlighting the difficulties associated with linguistic constraints. The text then focuses on the legitimisation of first-person perspectives and communication strategies to break discursive silence. The article presents examples of the use of technology, such as increasing communication reach, community building and avatarization, as tools to enable minorities to express themselves and gain a voice, contributing to the construction of a more equal society.
