    1. The text has neither been published anywhere to date nor been submitted for publication in another publishing house. (Any comments relevant to the matter may be included in the comment for the publisher section).
    2. The file has been saved in the Microsoft Word (docx) format or in RTF.
    3. The footnotes include current URL addresses of cited websites.
    4. The text has line spacing 1.5, using the Times New Roman 12-point font. Figures and graphs are provided in separate files.
    5. The text fulfils stylistic and bibliographical requirements complacent with Guidelines for authors, contained in the ‘About the journal’ tab.

    It is an author’s duty to find out whether specific bibliographical entries have their DOI numbers. In order to find out about DOI numbers visit the website below:

    Articles are sent to reviewers provided that they are in accordance with the instruction  of blind review.
  • Possible sources of the work funding are listed in the publication in a place required by editorial rules. In the submitted work there appear no ghostwriting, guest-authorship and/or conflict of interest. The author is acquainted with the current procedures of texts’ reviewing in the journal.
  • The author agrees to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement with Nicolaus Copernicus University. The content of the agreement is available HERE.

With regard to the joint publication, the author submitting an article for publication fills in a statement concerning the percentage contribution, in which the contributions of particular co-authors in the submitted text are given. The content of the work is known to all its authors who give permission for it to be published. The completed statement must be uploaded as an additional file along with the article.

Directives aux auteurs

Since 2014, Copernican Journal of Finance & Accounting publishes articles (only in English language) on issues related to finance and accounting. Articles submitted for publication should be original and not published anywhere before and should not be the subject of any qualification procedure for publication in any other journal of any other publisher.

A condition for accepting a text for the publishing process entails following absolutely the editorial standards included in the Editorial requirements file as well as sending in to the address of the Editorial Office a completed and legibly signed submission form. Articles that do not fulfil the formal requirements will not be accepted for editorial processing and the materials sent in will not be returned to the authors. The text of the article should be sent in only in electronic form through the UMK journals platform  within the specified time frame (sending a printed version of the article is not necessary).

Any graphs, figures, etc. that constitute part of the electronic text must be included in separate files (for instance, in Excel files). An author submitting an article electronically will receive email confirmation of acceptance and of entering the review process. The editorial board reserves the right to choose articles for publication in the Copernican Journal of Finance & Accounting and to shorten the text and make amendments in it without the author’s consent. The criteria for selection are the quality and the subject relevance to finance and accounting. After receiving confirmation of acceptance for publishing, the author should send in a printed and signed Agreement with the author to publish an article.

Copernican Journal of Finance & Accounting does not charge for submitting and processing the manuscript. Authors of articles published in the Copernican Journal of Finance & Accounting do not receive any financial payment.

PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MISCONDUCT PREVENTION POLICY

With a view to ensuring scientific reliability the editorial board of CJF&A makes efforts to publish works that meet ethical norms applied in science. Authors are required to comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Misconduct Prevention Policy.

In the case of a submitted article which during its preparatory phase was supported financially by an external institution, the author is obliged to insert information about such a fact in the Introduction of the article.

Use of Artificial Intelligence tools

Authors must disclose any significant use of artificial intelligence tools in preparing articles. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and authorship of submitted work.

AI tools may be used only for auxiliary or technical purposes, such as language editing, improving readability, formatting, translation support, or technical assistance. AI tools must not be used to replace the authors’ own scientific contribution, fabricate references, data, or results, or manipulate research findings.

Misuse of AI tools, including the use of AI to generate substantive content, fabricate references, data, or results, or manipulate research findings, may result in rejection of the manuscript.

In 2025, the average time to decide whether to submit a manuscript for review was 28 days. The manuscripts with positive reviews were published within 5-6 months.

Authors retain copyright in their published texts. Under the licence agreement, they grant Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to record, reproduce and distribute their works without limitations as to time, territory or number of copies. The articles are made available in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 3.0 licence (CC BY-ND 3.0). They may be copied and redistributed in an unmodified form, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author and the original source is acknowledged. Modified or adapted versions of the works may not be distributed.
