Accommodation establishments in industrial and post-industrial areas: evidence from the Wrocław agglomeration (Poland)

The article examines the use of industrial and post‑industrial areas as a base for accommodation infrastructure in the Wrocław agglomeration (Poland). The study provides a spatially verified assessment of the scale and distribution of accommodation facilities operating in these areas. A multi‑stage procedure combining REGON data, spatial analysis, online verification and field surveys was applied. Although 254 entities were registered at industrial addresses, only 38 functioning accommodation facilities were confirmed. They represent 27.8% of all accommodation establishments and 12.5% of available beds in the agglomeration, with a clear concentration in the agglomeration core.
