Nobility as an Aspect of Moral Maturity

I propose an analysis of the notion of moral nobility and the place of nobility in the dynamism of moral development. I explore some of the etymological, cultural and philosophical roots of the concept, drawing especially on Aquinas’ writings, so as to present nobility as an aspect of moral maturity and spiritual beauty.
