Kao deo postupka prijave priloga, autori su dužni potvrditi skladnost priloga koji prijavljuju sa svim sledećim stavkama. Autorima koji se ne pridržavaju ovih smernica prijave mogu biti vraćene.
  • This text has not been previously published and/or submitted in another publishing house.
  • The file is saved in Microsoft Word (doc) or RTF format.
  • The text of the publication is in Times New Roman (12-point font size), spacing 1,5 (for long block quotations: Times New Roman 11 and spacing 1,0).
  • Possible sources of the work funding are listed in the publication in a place required by editorial rules. In the submitted work there appear no ghostwriting, guest-authorship and/or conflict of interest. The author is acquainted with the current procedures of texts’ reviewing in the journal.
  • The author agrees to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement with Nicolaus Copernicus University. The content of the agreement is available HERE. With regard to the joint publication, the author submitting an article for publication fills in a statement concerning the percentage contribution, in which the contributions of particular co-authors in the submitted text are given. The content of the work is known to all its authors who give permission for it to be published. The completed statement must be uploaded as an additional file along with the article.

Preparation guidelines for publication at the UMK Publishing House

I. Articles should be submitted by means of user account on the Platform for periodicals of the UMK Scientific Publishing House. In exceptional cases, they may sent directly to the Editorial Office.

II. Authors are requested to abide by the enclosed editorial rules:

III. Authors of articles admitted for publication are required to submit declarations and to sign an agreement with the UMK Publishing House according to the following formulas. Completed forms should be sent to the e-mail address of the Editorial Office.

2. The ghostwriting procedure

Integrity in science is one of its fundamental qualities. Readers must be certain that the authors of publications present their work in a transparent and honest manner, regardless of whether they are direct authors or they have made use of specialised entities (individuals or institutions)

Transparency of information on entities that have contributed to the creation of publications (technical input, material, financial, etc.) attests to researchers’ ethical conduct as well as to high editorial standards, which is a manifestation not only of good manners, but also of social responsibility.

Ghostwriting and guest authorship are examples of dishonourable practices. Ghostwriting occurs when someone has made a substantial contribution to a publication without revealing their participation, as one of authors or without mentioning their role in the acknowledgments.

Guest authorship (also known as: honorary authorship) occurs when participation of the author is insignificant or non-existing, and his / her name appears at the top of the article.

Editors of Cognitive Science - New Media - Education require authors to sign a document containing relevant statements.

IV. The authors whose articles were accepted for publication sign a license agreement (sent in 2 copies) with the Scientific Publishing House of Nicolaus Copernicus University. Refusal to sign the agreement will make the publication impossible.
