About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Copernican Letters (CL) is an international journal covering general fields of chemistry, material chemistry, life sciences, technology and biotechnology. CL welcomes high quality original papers in English dealing with experimental, theoretical and applied research related to all branches of chemistry, life sciences and technology. CL ensures visibility of your research results to a worldwide audience in science. Reviews article focused on the leading subjects in policy of CL are also welcome. Short original communication (max 4 pages) in all areas of the journal interest will be published as well.
You are kindly invited to submit your manuscript to the Editor-in-Chief or Co-editors. All contributions in the form of original manuscripts will be peer reviewed and published free of charge after acceptance.
This journal is addressed to the scientific community. We cordially invite you to cooperate with our periodical. All the information needed to prepare a manuscript is included in the section labeled “For Authors”. We strongly encourage the submission of articles, and above all, we encourage to read Copernican Letters.
Anti-ghostwriting procedure: the editors consider the "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship" as a sign of very serious scientific misconduct. All the detected cases of the ghostwriting" and "guest authorship" will be exposed, including notification of relevant institutions. Consequently, the publisher of the journal Copernican Letter has introduced procedures to address the phenomena of "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship". The definitions of "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship" presented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (source: http://www.nauka.gov.pl/):
Ghostwriting situation - if someone has made a substantial contribution to a given publication, without disclosing his/her participation as one of the authors and without mentioning his/her role in the acknowledgments of the publication.
Guest authorship (so called: honorary authorship) - if the contribution of a given author is minimal or does not have a place, and in spite of this he/she is the author or co-author of a given publication.

Peer Review Process
The evaluation procedure of articles published in the journal Equilibrium is consistent with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland.
Review procedure includes:
a) The formal assessment and preliminary evaluation of the paper by the editorial board;
b) The external publishing review – all the papers are evaluated by independent reviewers, who are experts on the subject concerned. The reviewers are not members of the editorial and scientific committee of the journal and are not affiliated with the Faculty of Chemistry at Nicolaus Copernicus University. The reviewer of a given paper is not affiliated with the research center represented by the author. The evaluation is carried out in accordance with the principle of double anonymity of the reviewer and the author of the article (double-blind review).
