In this paper, we look at what happens to the concept of body image when it is acknowledged that the level of proprioception is just one bodily dimension in the core constitution of the body image. Recognizing the in-depth dimension of the body and seeing the role the viscera and the internal milieu play in the basic constitution of the body image results in a change of the status of the body image regarding a number of fundamental features.References
