This article presents the general role of the prosecutor as a participant in the disciplinary proceedings against judges and prosecutors. It describes the core competencies of prosecutor in this area, defined by the former German law and the Law on Common Courts. Complementing this is to present a few selected disciplinary matters, reconstructed on the basis of the preserved archival records included in the collection, “Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of Appeal in Toruń 1920–1933”. They are interesting source to the study of relations prevailing in the institutions of the then justice.
