If the development is an intentional process, a description of a mature man is its supporting requirement. As far as I am concerned fullness of the development of a man can be defined on the basis of the needs and that the most important of them in terms of the development are freedom and community. The article investigates the issue of gaining a feeling of closeness with other without losing the freedom. The problem of the will (a hierarchy of values, the bond of purposes and aspirations) is the most important. If a community is based on the same aims, feeling of closeness is delivered without taking the freedom away from its members. Nevertheless the said aims cannot be imposed by one person to the second, it must be made more objective. This objectivity for instance can become effective via shared acceptance of moral norms. Underlining standard aspects in the psychology of the development of a man shall facilitate the supporting process of man’s development.
