It was expected that the activities of such companies will contribute to accelerate the implementation of a backward program of construction of motorways and expressways in Poland. However, this concept raises as much hope as fear. No company of this type has yet been established so there is no practical experience related to their realization of road projects. The aim of this paper is to identify opportunities and threats to the effective implementation of road projects through SPRC. It is mainly about opportunities and threats associated with the implementation of the statutory rules of the model of these companies. In the second part of this study are analyzed the issues of: the influence of the founding body for the activities of SPRC, financing of investments implemented by SPRC, SPRC scope of tasks and competences, relations between the SPRC and The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the impact of activities of SPRC on the uniformity of the management system of national roads.</p> ER -
