In the time of partitions he was an activist working with secret pro-independence organizations. Later he fought during the First World War. After Poland regained independence Bogusławski joined the Polish Army. He also published texts in magazines, wrote literary pieces, and worked for the radio. After the outbreak of the Second World War he started to co-operate with General Władysław Sikorski as head of military propaganda. After the war Bogusławski settled in London where he became the President of the Polish Journalists’ Association (1945-1947) and the Association of the Polish Writers in Exile (1949).
