As Reinhard Mehring stated, the one thing which bonds all the work of Carl Schmitt is his reluctance to liberalism. For Schmitt, liberalism is a political philosophy which destroys understanding of the notion of the political. The best demonstration of this destruction is schmittian interpretation of the institution of just war and the shape which it took in his contemporary times. This article is an attempt to reconstruct Schmitt’s interpretation, as well as to indicate this item of his work, which can be interpretated as a restoration of the notion of the political – schmittian theory of partisan fights.
