Królestwo w okresie przełomu: Węgry około 1400 roku

XV stulecie rozpoczęło się zamachem: wiosną 1401 roku szlachta węgierska uwięziła króla Zygmunta Luksemburskiego (1387–1437). Niezadowolenie, które wyraziło się poprzez ten niesłychany czyn, miało wiele przyczyn: katastrofa krucjaty antytureckiej (zakończonej kląską pod Nikopolis w 1396 roku) oraz niepokoje wewnętrzne, w szczególności konflikty dotyczące kierunku polityki Królestwa. Zbuntowane rycerstwo powoływało się na ideę corona regni, uzasadniając swoje poczynania dobrem Królestwa, także ponad osobą monarchy. W artykule podjęto temat debat reformatorskich oraz politycznych sporów w latach 1385–1403, starając się wyjaśnić przy tym główne przyczyny procesów zachodzących około 1400 roku w Królestwie Węgier.Bibliografia
